Data collection and use
Whenever you submit any information to the site, the site explains what the information will be used for. In each case we will only use the information as is described on the page. We will not sell or disclose any information to outside organisations or individuals. When a user adds a blog entry, they must opt-out of having their e-mail address published, and will have their name published alongside the blog.
In some cases there is an automatic process for removing your details (see email alerts), but in others you must request that we do so. To update or remove your details please drop us an email. You have the right to access the personal information that we have by written or email request. There is an administration fee for this service.
If you post from a Houses of Parliament or Manchester City Council IP address, this information will be made public.

If you register to recieve e-mail updates, you will be informed everytime a new news story is added to the site or a major change occurs. Every email contains a link to unsubscribe and if you visit this link your details will be deleted and you will no longer recieve emails from us. Should you wish to start receiving email alerts again, just fill in the online form.
